Interview completed…

Well, my phone interview with IBM just completed a little while ago. The IM client was actually unused although Chris told me I would have been writing code in it for technical questions if I did. Anyway, I don’t think it went too well (that’s what we all say, right, but I’m serious), considering that I was unable to answer the main question, which was a brainstorming of solutions for the problem that needed to be solved by the Extreme Blue project in question (or at least just try to get somewhere).

If I don’t make it I’m probably just going to go to school again this summer term with a light load and just send an application in for the 2007 Summer of Code.

    Hey,
I’m also applying for the program and am going to be interviewed soon. Totally uncertain about what will be asked then. So they didn’t ask you to write code at all? What kind of questions did they ask? Was there an IQ test?

I can’t really answer this question since it really depends on the project you’re getting an interview for. In my case, the project I was getting interviewed for has to deal with content management, so they asked me some questions related to data structures. They did ask me how I would count/figure out what numbers between one and one hundred were prime, this was easy since I’ve taken classes relating to number theory. I will leave that to you as an exercise to figure out.

And no, there was no IQ test involved.
