Please voice your opinion on the issue on bug 64746. While the bug is about forcing the presence of both text and images for org.eclipse.ui.actionSets contributions, I suspect a workbench-wide setting in the preferences to switch between the three options would probably need to be supported to please the RCP crowd.
Can I have option without text and with not icons? My toolbar is pretty much packed and this way I could stuff few more actions there. :-)
Eugene: “Without text and with not icons”? Did you mean “without text and without icons”? I doubt that’s what you mean since I’m not sure what a user is supposed to click on then. Well, unless you just want a row of small icons that can only be distinguished by hovering over them and reading its tooltip.
