Sorry, when I said "I don’t have anything else to compare 12RIVEN with since I haven’t played any of their other games personally." I meant that the only game from KID that I have to compare 12Riven against is Ever17. So yes, I have played Ever17 and I had played it before playing 12Riven.

I have been dying to play 12Riven, since I, actually, *have* played Ever17 and Remember11. I anxiously read your review until the point where you exclaimed never to have played "any of their games, personally". If so, how are you able to judge ingame music is better than Ever17's? Or the storyline is more "intricate"? The "sandwich" part in Ever17 is a recurring event that in fact *is* a plot dependancy.
Other than that, I can understand that you think the music in Ever17 is monotonous, yet if you would have played the game, you would have found them ever so much more memerable, it's called emotional association, and Ever17 does a really good job at it (not just talking about "Karma" here, since that's the tearjerker pur sang, ofcourse, but songs like "Drittes Auge Nehmen", "Drittestock", "Hologramm", "IBF Emergency" ((which by the way might have just been composed for Unreal Tournament)) are really memerable, and I'm leaving out half of the other good ones.

This all isn't to criticize you, yet if you ever find the time or have the chance, you should definitely pick up a copy of Ever17 and play through it. I'm sure you'll adjust your current opinion on a couple of accounts :-)

Wil95: Well, it would really depend on which ending you're trying to get, right? If you're trying to get the "true end", then you should answer the call if you have an incoming one on the way to the shrine.
